No, children are free up to and including the year they turn 18.Which days typically have the fewest visitors?
The number of visitors varies quite a bit, so of course we can give guidance on general trends, but there are also exceptions. Often, the number of visitors depends on the day of the week, the time of day, whether it’s a holiday – and the weather. Typically, we have the fewest guests on these days: Weekdays (especially Mondays and Fridays) Late afternoon (the closer to closing time, the fewer guests. School classes usually visit us around opening time and are often gone again after lunch) Sunny days (especially the first warm sunny days in spring/early summer) Outside of school holidaysDo you accept press cards?

At the National Museum we have lockers that you can use for your personal belongings. How do I find the restrooms?
You do that on the first floor and...When does the museum close?
The museum starts closing at 4:45 pm, while the Children’s Museum closes at 4:30 pm. The main entrance closes at 5 pm. In addition, the museum is open from 10 am to 5 pm every day from April to October. From November to March, the museum is open Tuesday–Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.Help, I/my child need peace and quiet during the visit. What do we do?
If you need calm breaks along the way, there are several options for you: Tickets to the museum are day tickets, so you are very welcome to step outside and get some fresh air whenever you need. Just show your tickets when you re-enter the museum to continue your visit. There are several rooms that are a bit quieter. Feel free to ask at Information on arrival or speak to the hosts for help with this. Alternatively, here is a short list for you: Quiet room in the "Ukendt Land" exhibition. There are some rooms in this exhibition where there is space for immersion and calm. Bench and nursing area by the Runestone Hall in Denmark’s Prehistory. In "Danmarkshistorier 1660-2000" there is a bench with a view into part of the "Medieval and Renaissance" exhibition, which is also very peaceful. I believe this is in room 208. You are also very welcome to ask on the day at Information when you arrive. Sometimes we can work something out if there is a further need to be able to step away, although this depends on which rooms are booked that day, so we cannot guarantee anything for certain.May I bring my dog to the museum?
No, unfortunately dogs are not allowed here at the museum. However, this does not apply if it is a service dog.
